Wilmington Air Show

It's been a beautiful weekend here in Wilmington, and Mark and I took full advantage of it yesterday! We walked Honey down to the Farmer's Market in the morning, and spent the entire afternoon at an air show :) The Wilmington Airport hosted a great show, which included TONS of static plane and helicopter displays, lots of stunt planes and fighter jets putting on a pretty cool show, and the Air Force Thunderbirds! This was my first air show, and I really enjoyed it, and of course, Mark had a blast too :) We've been seeing the Thurderbirds practicing over our house for the last couple of days, and it was nice to see them "officially" in action - they're very impressive! (We live so close to the airport that I can see them out the window right now for today's show!) Lily seemed to like them too... every time a plane taxied by us and made the ground shake, she started bouncing around :) See below for some pictures and short video clips.

Chinese Cabbage...

I get these e-mails every week, and thought some of you might enjoy reading :) This week, Lily weighs about 2 1/4 pounds (apparently as much as a Chinese cabbage!), is almost 15 inches long and has eyelashes! (Though I'm betting she's a little ahead of the weight and height curve!) Only 12 weeks to go...

Azalea Festival & Diana's Visit

We are having a very busy weekend! Mark's mom flew in on Friday night, and we've been enjoying all of the activities (and shopping!) that the Azalea Festival has to offer :) Yesterday, we went downtown and looked through all the booths and vendors out for the weekend, and enjoyed a very nice brunch at The Wilmington Tea Room. (Which Mark complained was "too girly" the whole time we were there, even though I asked him 3 times if he wanted to come. His initial response was - "It's food, isn't it?")

This morning, we got up early and went to tour Airlie Gardens. Mark and I had never been there before, and it was really nice!! Then Diana and I went back downtown to make sure we didn't miss any good vendors downtown on the last day of the festival :)

Lily has been busy and active too, and was nice enough to let Nana feel (and see!) her moving around yesterday. I can't believe how much she's grown in just the last 7-8 weeks. It doesn't seem like that long ago when I was complaining that I didn't "look" pregnant, and now I'm looking at these pictures and thinking - "Is my stomach really that big?" And I know it's not getting any smaller at this point!! We have our second childbirth class at the hospital tomorrow night - 2 hours of fun :)

Here are some pictures of our trip to Airlie.
